Veterans Action Network Provides Support to Veteran Memorial Projects
ARLINGTON, Virginia – In 2018, Veterans Action Network made financial contributions to several veteran memorial organizations. Although the organization’s mission is to support and empower veterans in the American political and public policy process, it is equally important to the organization to support organizations that dedicate time, talent and resources to honoring American veterans and their families.
Veterans Action Network works within communities by organizing veterans toward action, including grassroots organizing and political and policy issue education.
One such organization Veteran Action Network supported this year was Folds of Honor. The organization, established in 2007, provides children of fallen and disabled military veterans with educational scholarships.
Veterans Action Network also made a grassroots contribution to The Highground, a memorial park in Wisconsin that honors fallen soldiers from the Vietnam War and was established by Vietnam War veterans.
Lastly, the organization also provided financial support to the National Military Families Association.
The mission of the Veterans Action Network is to engage in the political and policy process at the local, state, and federal level to hold elected officials responsible for how the United States government wages war and how it provides the proper support to veterans afterward.
